Vintage 40s lace party dress. There is so much detail and decadence going on here! Gorgeous blush floral lace overlay with a flowy asymmetrical high-low mermaid hem, delicate applique details and beaded accents at front and back of the shoulder and around the skirt. Deeper-peach blush silk lining underneath. Layered, puffed shoulders with extra layers of "puff" for extra drama (basically shoulder pads made out of more hidden lace, instead of a solid sewn-in pad). Dropped waist, long back zip and hook-and-eye pearly buttons up the back.
Fits a women's US size 4 or possibly a 6 depending on your measurements. Fits up to 36" bust (max) and up to 37" hips (absolute max). 18" across under the arms laying flat. Full length of liner is 45" shoulder to hem, lowest part of the skirt hits 55". Shoulder seams (measured from where the puff starts) are 16" apart on the hanger. I am 5'2" for reference.
There are a few things to note with this one, which allow me to mark her as a CLEARANCE piece! Mainly, she has a big ol' rip in the lace overlay in the back of the skirt train. It can likely be repaired if you're handy with a needle (or just take it to a seamstress) but I am selling it AS IS! This piece has NOT YET been dry cleaned - dry cleaners are closed due here in Ontario. I am unable to hand-wash her due to the lining fabric, so she is rather wrinkled on the inside liner - again, I am selling her as is!
