- Gorgeous authentic vintage 1950's cream wedding dress. Tea length with a full skirt and built-in multi-layered petticoat. Cinched waist has no stretch. Zips all the way up the back. Bust has a strapless, sweetheart cut double-layer boned liner with a sleeveless lace overlay. Dress length is a chiffon/tulle-like pleated material with small ruffle detailing at the bust, neckline, and hem. Lace detailing at the bust, straps and all around the hem. The lace around the skirt's hem is in incredible shape for the dress's age (almost 75 years!), but the lace at the straps is far more delicate and has torn in several places, giving the dress a sort of steampunk, post-apocalyptic, Victorian "damsel in distress", pirate bride vibe. If you are planning a feminine, alternative look for your prom, formal, or wedding, this would be PERFECT. It could also be an amazing starter dress for a Halloween costume or cosplay, and you could further distress it to your liking (I might cry though!)
She best fits a size XS. Women's waists and busts were generally smaller back in the 1950s. From the stitching and alterations on the lining of the bust and at the waist, this dress was custom fitted for the wearer!
Fits up to a 35" bust, 29" ribcage, 25" waist and 35" hip. Full length is 46" long from top of shoulder straps to hem. For reference, I am 36" in the hips and I barely squeezed into it, but I am also 31" in the ribcage and 36" in the bust so I could not fully zip up the back.
